Principal Consultant

​Michael Agostini, Ed.D., has spent his entire career in education and has over 20 years of experience with charter schools. He started as a teacher and since then has played a wide variety of school roles. He was a founding member and board president of Capitol Collegiate Academy, a K-8 charter school located in Sacramento, CA. He was also the founder and executive director of a private music school. For over a decade, he worked at the Charter Schools Development Center, where he helped to design and lead training programs for charter school leaders and evaluated schools using multi-day, onsite performance reviews.

Dr. Agostini later served as the Head of School at Temecula Preparatory School, an award-winning, TK-12 charter school with 1,100 students. During his years there, he developed the school’s first comprehensive strategic plan, improved academic programs and student outcomes, strengthened the school culture and significantly decreased teacher turnover, expanded and upgraded the school facilities, built a foundation to increase fundraising, and improved the school’s governing board capacity.

Dr. Agostini earned his B.A. from Yale University, an Ed.M. from Harvard University, and an Ed.D. from Drexel University.
